Dental implants are advanced, enduring solutions for replacing missing teeth, meticulously crafted to replicate the appearance, and functionality of natural teeth. They are formulated from materials compatible with your biology.

Gum grafts

Receding gums often lead to increased tooth sensitivity and compromised aesthetics. Gum grafts around teeth aim to restore and enhance the protective gum tissue, preventing further recession.

Gum grafts are also frequently utilized around dental implants to ensure not only their health but also to enhance stability and achieve harmony with the neighboring natural teeth.

Bone grafts

Bone grafts play a pivotal role in establishing a solid foundation for dental implants and preserving the well-being of natural teeth.

What is Gum Disease?

Also known as periodontal disease is often a silent culprit.

It can quietly progress without noticeable symptoms until it reaches advanced stages. It's crucial to be vigilant and recognize those warning signs.

Types of Gum Disease?

Gingivitis:

  • It is like the early warning sign your gums give you when they're not happy. It happens when plaque, a kind of sticky bacteria layer, builds up on your teeth and gums.
  • Symptoms: Watch out for red, puffy gums that might bleed a bit when you brush. Good news is, it's reversible with regular brushing, flossing, and check-ups.

Periodontitis:

  • Think of periodontitis as the next level if gingivitis is left unchecked. It's like the inflammation has spread to the area around your teeth, affecting the bone and ligaments that hold them in place.
  • Symptoms: Your gums might start to pull away, your breath could be less than fresh, and your teeth might feel a bit wobbly.

Treatment of Gum Disease

  • Scaling & Root Planing – In order to preserve the health of the gum tissue, the bacteria and calculus (tartar) which initially caused the infection, must be removed. The gum pockets will be cleaned and treated with antibiotics as necessary to help alleviate the infection. A prescription mouthwash may be incorporated into daily cleaning routines.

  • Tissue Regeneration – When the bone and gum tissues have been destroyed, regrowth can be actively encouraged using grafting procedures. A membrane may be inserted into the affected areas to assist in the regeneration process.

  • Pocket Elimination Surgery – Pocket elimination surgery (also known as flap surgery) is a surgical treatment which can be performed to reduce the pocket size between the teeth and gums. Surgery on the jawbone is another option which serves to eliminate indentations in the bone which foster the colonization of bacteria.

Getting a Dental Implant?

The Procedure: A Seamless Journey to a Radiant Smile

  1. Initial Consult: Your journey begins with a thorough consultation with our experienced team. We'll assess your oral health, discuss your goals, and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. The initial phase may include a 3D scan, also known as a CBCT, and an intra-oral scan.
  2. Preparation Phase: Before the implant procedure, our experts will ensure your comfort with local anesthesia or sedation. We prioritize your well-being throughout the entire process.
  3. Implant Placement: Using advanced technology and precision techniques, our skilled surgeons will strategically place the implants.
  4. Healing and Osseointegration: Over the next few weeks, the implants naturally fuse with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. This ensures a solid and lasting bond, replicating the strength of natural tooth roots.
  5. Abutment and Restoration: Once the implants have integrated successfully, we attach abutments – connectors between the implants and the prosthetic teeth. Your custom-crafted crowns or bridges are then securely affixed, creating a flawless, natural-looking smile.
